Session 16 - Aegar knocks but no one answers (recap)

In this session, our party began to work out their differences…

• Before packing up, the party discovered the bugbears’ camp and that there had been others among the bandits. Upon investigation, they found signs that the missing merchants had gone north, and a stone kobold (statue, kobold turned to stone?) that they considered a sign that there was at least 1 basilisk in the vicinity.
• Pliny left a Magic Mouth message to be triggered in the presence of the next humaniod:
  • “Bug Bears gone, go greenest, goods safe at fort. Say Looting Luters to retrieve lost items. Thanks for the ale I didn’t want it to go bad”
• The party returned to Greenest rather than investigate further, and arrived after nightfall.
• They visited the keep and rather curtly delivered the bugbears and drake (and kobold) and the merchant cart they found, and made arrangements for an audience with the governor the next morning.
• Pliny tried to play peacekeeper… and went to bed unfulfilled
• Zoyana left to sleep in her hammock among the trees.
  • Zoyana had a dream about Greenest getting attacked from all sides by dragons of white, white, blue, green, and black as described in Session 14 - Interlude - Young Cousins have a Dream.
• Aegar took a long walk, then attempted a nighttime conversation with Zoyana, but there was no answer at her door.
• The next morning, Zoyana shared her dream with the group.
• The party made their way to the keep.
  • Aegar rebuffed all requests for embellishment of their adventure by Governor Nighthill.
  • Governor Nighthill requested that they follow up on the bandits and possible basilisk, but party demured and collected their 300gp payment for the bandits. (Governor Nighthill may send some of his own guards to investigate)
  • Escobert the Red recommended The Bronze Goblet as a nice bar
• Zoyana led the party toward Knight Elementary where her dream took place. They made a plan to find out more about Leosin and made their way to The Bronze Goblet to have a drink and a chat.
  • Zoyana confirmed that her dream was about Greenest overall, and that there wasn’t anything immediately suspicious or concerning about the school.
• Pliny and Aegar headed directly to the Bronze Goblet .
