The Crypt Laboratory

Aegar, at the instigation of the party, completed the potion in the crypt laboratory. and sent a thick vapor spreading quickly throughout the floor of the chambers.

Pliny was quick-witted and thought to check on the skeletons, who were animated at the touch of the vapor.

The Honor Guard

A well-timed cast of Shatter took out half the skeletons, and reduced the others to meager husks.
Wylder, as usual, lobbed Blasts from the back, Aegar pummeled with his flail, and Zoyana sicced herself on a couple bones.

The Shatter also exposed that the throne hid a passage down further in the crypt.
Pliny was successful in releasing the mechanism while also avoiding the poison trap, and so exposed the passage.
After a brief discussion of updating Brother Keefe above, the party descended to investigate further…
The Gathering
With careful stealth and planning, the party took down a gathering including a pair of kobolds (a crossbow bolt and an Eldrich Blast), a cultist, a knight, and a mage (who escaped).
Before entering, the party overheard discussion of a tunnel, a pool, finding more bodies, and Rath Modar being pleased.
Zoyana parked a Moonbeam above the three and proceeded to suck the life out of them, and devoted the rest of her turns to her beam of magical death.
The red wizard “Noped” right out of there with a Misty Step after grabbing a handful of documents from the table. With a range of 30 feet, he couldn’t have gone far.
Aegar exchanged blows with the knight, and finished him off by sweeping the leg.
And so Pliny and Aegar find themselves towering above an unconscious knight, while Zoyana and Wylder run out the clock on the Moonbeam spell and investigate the dungeon…

Brother Keefe
The last our heroes knew, Brother Keefe was waiting for them in the Xandria’s crypt above. He, in his humility, may have exaggerated his lack of martial or magical prowess. His faith is dedicated to gentle passage to the afterlife, and consider eliminating the sacrelige of undeath their responsibility.
